Summer Update

I was shocked to see that the last blog post I sent out was in April, gosh time fly’s!!

My latest project is my new ‘Spin to Knit Journal’. I am teaching this at the Shetland Wool Week this September, so have been busy knitting lots of things with my hand spun yarns. I have really enjoyed creating it and learnt such a lot. I will be offering the books and classes on the subject in the not too distant future.

This is one of my creations.

This is Caitlin Hunter ,’s Navelli knitting pattern. Really great pattern to work with, I will be making more of her creations in the future. The burnt orange and white yarns, are all hand spun by me, using Haunui Fibre which I dyed before spinning; it is definitely an amazing fibre to spin and knit with. The grey yarn is a commercial alpaca/wool blend.

Have a lot of fibre left over, so these are hand/wrist warmers using the same pattern. Haha, I can see some mistakes….but I dont at all mind :)
